The study data is pseudonymised, i.e. recorded without the name(s) of the participant using an identification number. Your personal data (name, address, e-mail) is stored separately from the study data and protected against unauthorized access.

The study was reviewed by the ethics committees of the Hannover Medical School (“Medizinische Hochschule Hannover,” MHH), the medical faculty of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, as well as by the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. These institutions verified that there are no ethical or data protection concerns in conducting the study as presented.
