It consists of ten research consortia, three of them associated, and an overarching coordinating office. The modeling network&#8217;s focus is to strengthen the interdisciplinary exchange of leading scientists active in this field. In addition, the network is dedicated to the promotion of young scientists in order to sustainably strengthen modeling competence in Germany.<br>Regarding the current pandemic situation the Modeling Unter den 19 Expert:innen sind auch zwei Wissenschaftler:innen des Modellierungsnetzes f\u00fcr schwere Infektionskrankheiten: Vorstandsmitglied Dr. Berit Lange und Professor Dr. Stefan Flasche, Mitglied des Wissenschaftlichen Beirats des MONID-Verbundes \u201eOptimAgent\u201c.
