Epidemiology & Nursing Research
On the one hand, the projects under this topic are intended to help build sustainable structures in the fight against pandemics. Providing the expertise to optimally control the pandemic in Saxony-Anhalt plays an important role in this.
On the other hand, analyses should create a robust database on the effects of the pandemic and pandemic-related measures. These analyses lay the foundation for the development of support measures for decisions on healthcare in relation to – but also beyond – the fight against the pandemic.
Clinical Studies
The Clinical Research area focuses on the comprehensive characterization of patients suffering from Long COVID and the findings derived from this. The projects in this area are therefore concerned with the establishment of a Long COVID registry and an active outpatient study clinic.
As part of the CoPreP consortium, a new type of structure is to be established for the area of clinical research in the form of an interdisciplinary consultation hour.
